Passionate, forward thinking, solution oriented young woman from a G20 country or those who can represent the European or African Union, Afghanistan, Pakistan or the MENA region and will be 18-20 during August 2014 are invited to apply for ‘Girls 20 Summit’ being organized in Australia. The major purpose of G20Summit is to recognize the potential in girls and as an amazing resource and when included appropriately can make the difference in the health and wealth of their families, communities and countries.
G20Summit emphasizes the significant role girls and women can play in improving the economy of a community and a country. With a concept that educating girls and women leads to higher wages, lower fertility, reduced maternal and child mortality, and better health and education for current and future generations, the program offers a ground for all 18-20 years old girls opportunity to impact locally, nationally and internationally.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be from one of the G20 Countries (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, UK and USA); Afghanistan; Pakistan; or from MENA region (Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, West Bank and Gaza, and Yemen).
- Applicants must be aged between 18 to 20 during August 2014.
- Applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Applicants must hold citizenship of the country they are applying to represent and should have parental or guardian permission to travel to Australia and to fully participate in the summit for the duration. Also they should have consent to appear in any and all media.
- Applicants must have a valid passport and any other required travel documents for the delegate to travel from her home country to Australia.
