Designpreis Halle is accepting design entries from designers and students all over the world on theme ‘Water’ for competition 2014. The main purpose of the competition is to allow designers ands students examine the topic (water) in an intense and creative manner – be it product oriented or process oriented. It may include inventing new services or suggesting innovative applications or user strategies but also designing products that address our treatment of water as a resource or examine the sensual qualities of water as a material.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Designers and students of all design disciplines who have not reached 40 years of age on the closing date for submission are eligible to participate in the competition.
- One participant/participating team can make only one entry but may submit a maximum of three DIN A2 posters mounted on card-covered rigid foam board (Kapa board), showing products, designs or concepts (i.e. design drawings, models, animation or prototypes).
- An additional DVD may be submitted only in the case of video formats (H.264, Quick time, MPEG4 – max. length three minutes) or in the case of interactive presentations (PDF, Flash).
- The entry must be accompanied by an envelope with the name of the participant, containing a short CV and a description of the entry (max. 1,500 characters) in the German or English language.
- The submission is valid only if a signed copy of the registration form containing all conditions of participation is enclosed.
- Entries that do not comply with the formal regulations and which have not been submitted by the closing date will not be taken into consideration.
