The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Nigeria is inviting applications from all U.S. and non-U.S. qualified organizations for ‘Support for Electoral Reforms Project’ 2014. The major aim of the grant program is to strengthen the capacity of the Nigerian Electoral Management Bodies leading to improved public confidence in elections and their outcomes. The grant program will award a five-year Cooperative Agreement for a Support for Electoral Reforms project that will result to improved, effective, professional, and credible Nigerian elections conducted by Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs); improved professionalism and knowledgeable EMB staff administering credible elections; and improved Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)-implemented voter education campaign.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Any qualified US or non-US non-governmental organization (including but not limited to: faith-based organizations, foundations, academic institutions, civic groups, regional organizations, Private Voluntary Organizations [PVOs] and for-profit entities that forego profit) or Public International Organization (PIOs) is eligible to apply for the grant program.
- Applicants must have established financial management, monitoring and evaluation, internal control systems, and policies and procedures that comply with established U.S. Government standards, laws, and regulations.
- Applicants must be responsible entity to qualify for grant receipt.
- Applications must be submitted in two separate emails – technical application and cost/business application. One original, three copies and one electronic (CD-ROM) of both technical and business applications must also be sent post marked no later than the deadline.
