CRDF Global is inviting proposals from previous grantees who conducted joint U.S.-Russian under the organization’s Cooperative Grants Program (CGP) for travel grants. The grantees will be awarded $10,000 each which covers travel-related expenses associated with supplemental research activities and directly contributing to the original CGP-funded project.
Award Categories –
- Collaborative Research & Training Awards – with the goal to encourage sustainable U.S.-Russian research collaborations.
- Information Dissemination Awards – with the goal to promote results obtained from CRDF Global-funded research.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be previous CRDF Global grantees who received an award from a U.S.-Russia Cooperative Grants Program competition or current CGP grantees whose original award closes within six months of deadline.
- The proposed travel and subsequent activities must be related to the research conducted with the original CGP award. All research areas and science disciplines are eligible.
- There must be only one primary applicant who will take overall responsibility for the proposed travel and related activities and any number of secondary applicants.
- Proposals requesting more than USD $10,000 are not accepted.
- The Primary and Secondary Applicants must be from either Russia or the U.S. Russian participants must be citizens and permanent residents of the Russian Federation. U.S. participants must be legally employed or enrolled full-time at a U.S. institution. Graduate students from the U.S. may be foreign nationals, but must be enrolled full-time in an accredited degree program at a U.S. institution.
- Proposed projects must be oriented toward non-military objectives and must be carried out in a civilian research environment.
