All Children Reading: A Grand Challenge for Development (ACR GCD) partners – United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Vision (WV) and the Australian Government are inviting innovators around the world for Round 2 Grant Competition. Innovators must prepare concept notes that aim to develop scalable technology-based solutions to increase literacy among children in developing countries.
Focus Areas –
- Mother Tongue Instruction and Reading Materials
- Family and Community Engagement
- Children with Disabilities
Approximately three awards per focus area will be made, with a total of $900,000 available under each focus area.
Eligibility Criteria –
- U.S. and non-U.S. nonprofit organizations, U.S. and non-U.S. for-profit organizations, U.S. and non-U.S. colleges and universities, local or indigenous private voluntary organizations, faith based organizations, and local organizations are eligible for the grant.
- One organization can submit maximum two applications.
- The applications must demonstrate that the project conducted will improve reading scores of students in early primary education (i.e. grades/levels one to three).
- Proposals should be made on effective, low-cost, technology-based innovations that address problems that keep children from learning to read.
