Disability Rights Fund (DRF) is seeking proposals from applicants from Haiti, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malawi, and Myanmar and invited applicants from India and Ukraine for first round of 2014 grant cycle ‘Our Voices. Our Rights.’
Grants –
- Small Grants – Single organizations or partnerships. One-year grants ranging between USD 5,000-20,000.
- Mid-Level Coalition Grants – Mid-Level (state, regional, provincial, or district) DPO-led coalitions. two-year grants ranging between USD 30,000 – 40,000 per year (USD 60,000 – 80,000 over the course of two years) and must be conceived and led by a DPO.
- National Coalition Grants – National DPO-led coalitions. wo-year grants ranging between USD 30,000 – 50,000 per year (USD 60,000 – 100,000 over the course of two years).
Eligibility Criteria for Small Grants –
- Legally registered non-governmental DPOs (or groups of persons with disabilities (PWDs) acting under the fiscal sponsorship thereof are eligible to apply.
- The proposed project must be partnerships among DPOs pr between DPOs and other civil society organizations (when a DPO is the managing partner) to be eligible.
- Eligible countries are – Haiti, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malawi, and Myanmar.
Eligibility Criteria for Mid-Level Coalitions –
- Eligible countries to apply are – Haiti, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malawi, and Myanmar. Invited applicants can be from India (states of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Tamil Nadu or the national capital of Delhi), and Ukraine.
- Applications must be submitted by one managing DPO with sub-national scope on behalf of the Coalition.
- National umbrella organizations or federations are considered one organization and must form a Coalition with other organizations to be eligible.
- Applicant organizations will be responsible for coordinating the Coalition and managing the grant.
Eligibility Criteria for National Coalitions –
- Eligible countries are Haiti, Indonesia, Lebanon, Malawi, and Myanmar. Invited applicants from India (states of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Tamil Nadu or the national capital of Delhi) are also eligible.
- National Coalitions of three or more organizations where the Coalition is conceived and led by a DPO may submit applications.
- Applications must be submitted by one managing DPO with national scope on behalf of the Coalition.
- Applicant organizations will be responsible for coordinating the Coalition and managing the grant.
- National umbrella organizations or federations are considered one organization and must form a Coalition with other organizations to be eligible.
