Czech NGO Program Block Grant is accepting grant applications from NGOs established in the Czech Republic. The program aims to strengthen civil society development in the defined priority areas, to promote the development of bilateral relationships between the Czech Republic and donor states, to strengthen the capacity of NGOs, to develop their professionalization, to mitigate regional disparities in the work of NGOs in the Czech Republic and to enhance its contribution to democracy, sustainable development and social justice.
Priority Areas –
- Protection of human rights and multiculturalism
- Gender equality
- Strengthening civil society, democracy mechanisms and transparency
- Children and youth at risk
- Social inclusion
- Environmental protection and climate change
Eligibility Criteria –
- NGOs from all regions of the Czech Republic are eligible for the grant.
- The NGOs must be legal entities established or incorporated as associations pursuant to the Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code; institutes pursuant to the Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code; public benefit organization established pursuant to the Act No. 248/1995 Coll. on Public Benefit Organizations, as amended; religious legal entities established by religious institutions to provide charitable service pursuant to the Act No. 3/2002 Coll. on Freedom of Religion and Status of Churches and Religious Societies, as amended; foundations and endowment funds established pursuant to the Act No. 227/1997 Coll. on Foundations and Endowment Funds.
