United States Agency for International Development Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) is inviting grant applications for Improving Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Management Capacity in Burma (Myanmar) and Indonesia.
The program objectives are –
- To increase disaster management capacity throughout Burma
- To improve preparedness for natural disasters in Rakhine State, Burma
- To provide Technical Assistance and Training Teams (TATTs) to selected BPBDs in Indonesia
Applicants can make request maximum US$3,000,000 for objectives 1 and 2 and $5,000,000 for objective 3.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be legally recognized organizational entities (governmental organization, foreign public entity, domestic or foreign nonprofit organization, domestic or foreign for-profit organization, and federal agency (which can only be a sub recipient under an award or sub award to a non-federal entity] under applicable law.
- Applicants must complete all required steps (if any) with the host government to legally operate their program before implementing their program.
- Applicants must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) [Federal repository into which an entity must provide information required for the conduct of business as a recipient] database and must include the date of their CCR expiration.
- Each objective requires a separate application. Applicants may apply for all three programs, but must submit separate applications for each objective. Concept papers that combine multiple objectives will not be considered.
