LIDC Fellowship scheme is open for interested academic members of staff from at least two Bloomsbury Colleges (LIDC members) conducting collaborative research project in international development. The fellowship scheme is designed to support new collaborative research projects in international development between academics from at least two different Bloomsbury Colleges – LIDC members (Birkbeck, Institute of Education, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, SOAS and Royal Veterinary College).
The fellowship works as seed funding to help collaborators across colleges develop new research areas. Inter-sectoral (e.g. between education and health, agriculture and environment, etc.) and/ or interdisciplinary (e.g. between political science and anthropology, economics and epidemiology, etc.) research projects are offered grants up to £5,000 per project.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applications must be submitted by at least two individuals representing at least two different LIDC Colleges.
- Both applicants must be academic members of staff from one of the Bloomsbury Colleges.
- Early career researchers are highly encouraged to apply.
To apply, the applicants must fill application form, get it signed by the heads of department of both applicants, and submit it to LIDC via email or post by the deadline.
