The major objective of US-Egypt Primary Learning Program is to ensure that Egyptian students are able to learn the fundamental core skills of reading, comprehension, writing and mathematics by the end of their early primary school experience. The role of grantee is to solidify and built on the Early Grade Reading Program (EGRP) strategies and approaches that were introduced by Girls for Improved Learning Outcomes (GILO) Program developed by Ministry of Education in 2010 and funded by the USAID.
