The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) is seeking proposals from all eligible organizations for building Cooperation and Awareness for Citizen Rights in Eastern Indonesia. The purpose of this program is to promote and enhance awareness of citizen rights and increase participation of marginalized populations in Eastern Indonesia.
Funding of approx $400,000 is available under these particular call.
Note: Partnership with local organizations is strongly encouraged. The program should provide capacity building, coaching, networking, and other support to Indonesia CSO partners.
Activities may include (not limited to):
- Building the capacity of civil society organizations and entities working for the promotion of traditional rights and improved community engagement
- Strengthening mediation and reconciliation skills and tools for minority communities
- Increasing access to information in areas with ethnic minorities; and strengthening cooperation among ethnic communities, including by engaging with community leaders, traditional leaders, civil society, human rights organizations, and other relevant stakeholders
Eligibility criteria:
- The proposed program should provide capacity building, coaching, networking, and other support to Indonesia CSO partners.
- An organization may submit no more than one proposal.
