The Western Union Foundation (WUF) is offering scholarships to United States immigrant/migrant family members who are currently residing in the US from maximum seven (7) years. The scholarship is provided as contribution towards college/university education, language acquisition classes, technical/skill training, and/or financial literacy. Application should be made for two members of the family, both 18 years of age or above, residing in the US and born outside of the US. These applicants should also be studying in US institution.
The major purpose of the scholarship program is to support US immigrant/migrant families achieve the type of education they need in order to create a brighter future for the entire family.
The scholarship awards are paid directly to the educational providers where the scholarship recipients are studying and not to the individuals.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Application should be for two members of the same family, both at least 18 years of age.
- Applicants must have been born outside of the United States, currently living in the US and been in the US for not more than seven years.
- The educational institutions for both of the family members must be in the US (must be an accredited higher-education institution or training/educational provider) & the application must include educational institutions for both the primary and secondary award recipients.
- Western Union employees, Western Union Agents and dependents are not eligible to apply.

The Western Union Foundation provides direct grants to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that address economic opportunity through education, job training, life skills and small business development, financial literacy, community integration and educational assistance to migrants, immigrants and their families.
Since 2001, the foundation has provided grants to more than 2,657 non-governmental organizations in more than 130 countries and territories. The grant amount so far distributed is US$90.2 million.
