The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars invites individuals around the globe to become Wilson Center Fellow. The 9-month residential fellowship is open for non-advocacy, policy-relevant fellowship proposals. The fellows research and write in their areas of expertise, while interacting with policymakers in Washington and Wilson Center staff.
Each fellow is provided a furnished office, part-time research assistant along with round trip to and from the Wilson Center and home country international airport, monthly stipends, and travel allowances (for spouses and/or dependent children too, if they reside along with the fellow).
The fellowship generally begins in September and continues till May.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizens or permanent residents from any country are eligible to apply. Applicants from countries outside the United States must hold a valid passport and be able to obtain a J-1 visa even if they are currently in the US.
- Applying individuals must be with outstanding capabilities and experience from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Applicants must be holding a PhD or should receive PhD by the deadline.
- Applicants can be practitioners or policymakers with an equivalent level of professional achievement.
- Applicants must be proficient in English language.
Complete application includes- fellowship application form, curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a project proposal, a bibliography for the project that includes primary sources and relevant secondary sources (not more than 3 pages), and one-page financial information form.
