The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the Embassy of the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan is accepting proposals for a Grant or Cooperative Agreement to support entrepreneurship programs in Pakistan that connect U.S. and Pakistani entrepreneurs.
Under this funding opportunity, the maximum grant is set up to $500,000 and minimum grant is $50,000. Up to 6 candidates will be awarded with the grant. The period of the project is 12 – 24 months.
The objective is to promote sustainable enterprises, small businesses, and innovation in Pakistan through connections with U.S. partners, especially successful U.S. entrepreneurs.
Eligibility Criteria
- The funding opportunity is limited to U.S. and Pakistani registered not-for-profit, civil Page 5 of 15 society/non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, or commercial firms; and U.S. State or local governments, or U.S. federally recognized Indian tribal governments with at least two years of related programming experience.
- Applicants must demonstrate experience executing successful entrepreneurship activities and the capacity to manage all financial aspects of the project, including participant costs and transparent arrangements of sub-grant relationships with partner organizations, if applicable.
- A copy of the organization’s registration should be provided with the proposal application. U.S. – based organizations should submit a copy of their IRS determination letter. Pakistan-based organizations should submit a copy of their certificate of registration from the appropriate government organization.
