Ministry of foreign areas of Denmark is currently accepting proposals from organizations in DAC listed countries for its grants of 12 million DKK that has been allocated for non-military conflict resolution, dialogue and mediation in the recently adopted Danish finance act for 2015. An initial installment amounting to 25 per cent of the grant may be requested upon receipt of the grant notification. Further instalments will be subject to progress in project implementation.

Australia, European Union, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Austria, Finland, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, France, Japan, Portugal, Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Luxembourg, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Greece, Netherlands, Slovenia, United States, Denmark, Iceland, New Zealand, South Korea.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications should be aimed at activities in countries defined as developing countries by DAC or information activities in Denmark regarding non-military conflict resolution in such countries.
Application Procedure
- The proposal is to be presented as a clear and concise project document not exceeding 10 pages (font type: Garamond 13) including the budget, but excluding annexes.
- 6-8 projects are expected to approve. Funding decisions will be announced in June 2015.
- Proposals should include the following basis information:
- Brief presentation of the applying organisation including organisational set-up and administrative capacity – latest annual report, latest annual accounts, constitution and composition of the board should be attached as annexes
- Documentation of experience and technical knowledge of non-military conflict resolution, dialogue and mediation in fragile states. Lists of relevant activities and publications covering the last five years may be attached as annexes.
- Description of the conflict(s) relevant to the project in question.
- Detailed contextual analysis of the conflict(s), local needs stakeholders and ownership.
- Justification for the proposed project, such as geographic focus and choice of approach to non-military conflict resolution, dialogue and mediation
- Theory of Change and results framework for the project.
- Description of key activities, outputs and expected impact.
- Risk assessment and implementation time plan.
- A detailed budget, including costs for auditing financial reports and an administrative overhead of max. 7 per cent. of other project expenditure
