Wageningen UR Center for Development Innovation (CDI) will conduct short term course “Managing risk in the face of climate change” from 28 March 2016 to 8 April 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. Managers, policy makers, specialists and researchers who are professionally involved in the management of risks and hazards and climate change who work in public and civic society sectors, for universities, national research or development programmes, for government organisations or NGOs are encouraged to participate in the program.
The course will explore trends in disaster risk, the related factors contributing to the complexity of the planning environment, and the uncertainty of climate change.
The programme has an interactive nature and incorporates group work, case studies, interactive lectures, discussions, presentations and excursions to offer background, theoretical aspects, as well as practical approaches.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be citizen of an NFP country and employed in an NFP country to be eligible for Netherlands
- Applicants should have at least have 3 years professional experience and be professionally involved in the management of risks and hazards and climate change.
- Applicants must be proficient in the English language.
