Deadline: 13 July 2015
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) invites universities, colleges, small businesses, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to submit proposals for 2016 Social Science Research Grant Program.
Areas of support
- Developing intervention models based on up-to-date research findings: Special consideration will be given to applications which include a pilot-test of a newly developed intervention, or an evaluation of and existing but previously untested intervention model. The latter may require a partnership with an anti-doping organization, who will contribute resources to the evaluation component.
- The perception of legitimacy of anti-doping rules and organizations and its effect on athletes’ attitudes and buy-in to anti-doping programs: The funded projects will provide practical guidance as to how to increase and maintain athletes’ perceived legitimacy of anti-doping organizations and regulations.
- Understanding deterrence measures for athlete support personnel: Particular areas of interest include entourage members’ knowledge, attitudes and behaviors with respect to their self-perceived role in anti-doping education, and their attitudes and behaviors with respect to promoting supplement use, performance enhancing technologies and doping in athletes in their charge.
