The Government of Tonga in association with European Union has launched call for proposals under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF) program. The launching of the Restrictive Call of Proposals for the Non State Actors Component of the 10th European Development Fund, was conducted on the 14th May, 2015 at the FWC Moulton Hall.
The Grants size amount for this second round of call of proposals is 162,000 Euro. The Call of Proposals are specifically focused to support 2 LOTs ; Lot 1 for the Non State Actors of with Grant size amount of 82,000 EURO and Lot 2 for Private Sector Development with 80,000 Euro.
The global objective is to build capacity of Non State Actors to actively participate in the development of the country, in relation to EU areas of interest which are economic development and trade, public finance management, energy and gender policies.
The European Union has had invested millions to Tonga for many years now, this including budget support, infrastructural projects to Vava’u, and many others.
