The Oxfam International is currently accepting Applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Internal Auditor based in Oxford, UK.
The Senior Internal Auditor will undertake organisationally strategic and complex audits in a challenging environment, and provide significant input to the design and delivery of ongoing quality initiatives, in accordance with agreed internal auditing standards.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Senior Internal Auditor will perform the following functions-
- Assists in the development of divisional risk analyses, audit strategies, audit plans and programmes in accordance with the requirements of the departmental plan.
- Ensure all audits are planned and conducted in accordance with professional and departmental standards.
- Undertake the design and delivery of new audit initiatives.
- Undertake special assignments and investigations and in particular undertake more complex and high level audit investigations.
- Develop professional and constructive working relationships with key managers including senior level managers and be able to challenge when necessary.
- Provide support to Oxfam wide risk management processes as well as provide advice, guidance and support on risk and control issues to a wide range of staff at different levels of the organisation (and outside of Oxfam).
- Produce quality reports for local and senior management and Trustees.
- Ensure responses to reports are received, reviewed and actioned.
- Take a leading role in the development of new/amended audit processes, specific innovative ways of working and new ideas for reviewing risk and control issues.
- Provide high level support for other auditors’ programmes worldwide.
- Represent Oxfam at professional knowledge groups.
- Deputise for the Internal Audit Manager as required.
- Supervise and develop internal auditors and delegate work as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Experience of risk management frameworks and approaches.
- Experience of operational auditing & risk based approach to reviews.
- Excellent numeracy, computer and financial skills.
- Highly developed analytical skills.
- Facilitation and presentational skills.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment and understanding of Oxfam’s equal opportunity and gender and diversity issues
- Experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating respect for, and understanding of, cultural differences.
- Professionally qualified auditor/accountant.
- Experience of project management activities.
- Experience of working in the INGO sector.
