The SIRUM is currently accepting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Director of Development based in California, USA.
SIRUM is a nonprofit founded on the belief that every pill should go to a patient in need with a vision to get the $5 billion of unopened, unexpired medication that goes to waste each year in the US to the one in four working-age adults who skip taking medication due to cost.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Director of Development will perform the following functions-
- Develop and execute SIRUM’s annual fundraising plan and report regularly on the progress to the founders.
- Craft communications to meaningfully engage potential and existing donors.
- Identify funding opportunities from individuals and foundations, and support the founders for applicable meetings and events.
- Secure financial support from foundations and individuals.
- Identify innovative funding opportunities and execute new strategies to grow awareness of SIRUM’s work.
- Develop, write and track proposals and reports for all foundation and major donors.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A passion for SIRUM, vision to get every pill to a person in need, our belief that we can use technology to correct this market inefficiency, and our eagerness to build a national solution now!
- 7+ years experience in shaping an organization’s development strategy and are excited to build SIRUM strategy from the ground-up.
- Established relationships with foundations and individual philanthropists
- Demonstrated expertise at fundraising in a broad range of sectors (major foundations, family foundations, start-ups and government)
- Ability to achieve ambitious results in a highly ambiguous environment.
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills and a high level of organization and attention to detail.
