The Send a Cow (SAC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Programme Funding Manager based in Newton St Loe and Bath, UK.
The Programme Funding Manager will hold overall responsibility for ensuring effective contract management of grants from institutional donors in the UK, Europe, USA and in-country sources in Africa by supporting programme fundraisers in the UK and Africa to fulfil donor reporting requirements.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Programme Funding Manager will perform the following functions-
- Develop a good understanding of the work of Send a Cow in Africa and the UK and the context and policy framework within which it works
- Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of institutional donors, their wider aims, policies, strategic objectives, funding priorities and contract requirements
- Oversee the management of new and ongoing grant contracts, fulfilling donor requirements in a timely manner, including preparation of narrative and financial reports and responding to donor queries as appropriate.
- Ensure all data files and records are kept up to date, in particular the SAC Salesforce Project and Funding Management System which holds all information about donors, contacts, opportunities, contracts and reporting requirements. Regularly review reports from Salesforce to keep track of activities, tasks and events that are due.
- Maintain excellent relationships with institutional donors and project partners and network to build new contacts.
- Contribute to the development of funding applications by Programme Fundraisers in collaboration with Programmes team, Project staff and Finance staff.
- Maintain close communication with the Head of Programme Funding and Programme Fundraisers in the UK and in-country, contributing to team teleconferences and workshops.
- Liaise with other SAC teams as appropriate, including Country Programme, International Programme, Finance, Communications, Marketing and Partnership teams.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field
- At least 3-5 years’ experience of fundraising from institutional donors including:
- Effective management of large donor funding contracts
- Preparation of and reporting against detailed donor budgets from project plans
- Development and use of logical frameworks for project planning and reporting
- Building relationships with donors and partners
- Experience of fundraising and contract management of grants from US, European or Bi-lateral agencies.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work co-operatively in a team
- Strong numeracy skills
- Highly organised and able to prioritise a busy and diverse workload.
- Ability to work to meet tight deadlines
- Good IT understanding and practice
- Ability to research, collate and summarise information from a wide range of sources
- Attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines
