The Saferworld is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance and Administration Officer based in Rumbek, Lakes State, South Sudan.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Finance and Administration Officer will perform the following functions-
- Working with the Area Project Manager (APM), Project Coordinators (PCs) and the Finance Manager to develop monthly cash forecasts.
- Act as point of contact for financial queries, requests and deliverables from State PCs, APM and the partners organisations
- Day to day management of the finance function, including oversight of cash disbursements, cash receipts, banking, and petty cash management, collection and payment of relevant taxes to local authorities and other finance related tasks.
- Preparation of timely and accurate cash transfer requests.
- Reconcile bank, safe & petty cash accounts and follow up on discrepancies as required.
- Monitor staff expense accounts, resolving discrepancies and ensuring staff account appropriately for all expenditure.
- Prepare staff personal account reports monthly and forward to staff.
- Establish an effective filing system that provides easy access to finance-related information and proper documentation of all financial and contractual transactions.
- Help facilitate visits by, and meet requirements of, external and internal auditors.
- Ensure programme expenses are charged against their required cost centres and donor accounts.
- Implement administrative procedures associated finance as directed by the Finance Coordinator or Finance Manager in coordination with the Project Coordinator.
- Any other financial duties requested and directed by the line manager coordinator.General running of the office, ensuring office equipment is maintained, and stocks of office supplies maintained within budgets.
- Support the Project Coordinator in devising and implementing administrative systems and operational procedures in Rumbek.
- Undertake local procurement tasks and procedural paperwork as required.
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained and serviced to the vehicle specifications and Saferworld’s security protocols.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Under-graduate diploma in Business Administration or equivalent professional experience in finance or accounting from a recognize university
- Two or three years’ work experience in the same field with an International NGOs or Government
- Must be a computer literate; Microsoft Word, Excel and internet
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and knowledge of at least one South Sudanese language
- Proven track record of working effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to working in a non-partisan manner
