The International Development Research Center (IDRC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Program Management Officer based in Ottawa, Canada.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Program Management officer will perform the following functions-
- Contribute to the development and operation of the CRVS Initiative, and coordination and dissemination of information in support of the management of the initiative.
- Initiative coordination, research support, monitoring and evaluation, communications and network development, and liaising with key internal and external constituents.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in a relevant health or social science discipline such as international development, public health, or health policy and management;
- Experience in-
- coordinating projects, conferences and meetings;
- monitoring and compiling research results;
- communicating research, for public and policy audiences;
- preparing reports and briefing notes as well as minute taking;
- building and maintaining partnerships;
- undertaking independent research;
- using data analysis software and managing a database and website is an asset; and
- working in developing regions, in particular Africa, is an asset.
- Bilingual position (English/French) at an intermediate level;
- Understanding of global public health issues and challenges in developing world;
- Knowledge of project management principles;
- Understanding of research-policy linkages;
- Familiarity with evaluation methods is an asset.
