The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently inviting applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Consultant, Information Management Associate based in New York.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Consultant, Information Management Associate, will perform the following functions-
- Ensuring compliance with corporate information management and technology standards, guidelines and procedures for the unit’s technology environment;
- Ensuring that the users computing needs are met;
- Problem resolution and support for all network and desktop related matters by liaising with OIST central help desk where needed;
- Installation and configuration of UNDP’s ICT standard hardware/software;
- Implementing and maintaining security measures, including anti-virus measures, Operating System and Application security patches in accordance with UNDP standards;
- Preparing hardware/software requirement and specification for the assigned business unit(s), prepare requisitions, and keep up to date inventory of IT assets;
- Ensuring that the information contained with the web page remains current and meets the published web site design and content standards and guidelines;
- Designing and conducting training on UNDP standard computing and productivity tools; and
- Collaborating with Information Systems and Technology staff and IMAs from other units in supporting corporate software and hardware systems.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have-
- Certification in A+ or MCP is required;
- MCSE and CCNA certification are added advantages;
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in Microsoft Network Administration is required;
- Excellent experience and knowledge in Microsoft 7, 8 and 8.1 as well as Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 and O365, Symantec Antivirus Software is required;
- Hands on experience in problem identification and resolution of industry standard hardware platform is required;
- Skills in telecommunications facilities such as email (Outlook), Facsimile, Audio and Video conference facilities/equipment is desirable;
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English is required; and
- Any other language is an advantage.

- Communicates effectively with users at all levels of the organization and is comfortable in handling relations at all levels;
- Capable of working in a highly pressured environment with different types of users, managing many tasks simultaneously; and
- Exercises the highest level of responsibility and is able to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner.
