The One Drop Foundation is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Chief Revenue Officer based in Montreal, Canada.
The Chief Revenue Officer provides the leadership, direction, and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program and key external alliances to secure financial resources from all donor segments.
One Drop develops integrated, innovative water access and management projects in developing countries.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Chief Revenue Officer will perform the following functions-
- Present with commitment and passion One Drop’s, mission, values and goals to the worldwide donor and partner community, and other audiences.
- Have core expertise in developing and closing revenue generating and innovative corporate partnerships, events and special projects.
- Provide strategic leadership to develop and implement clear short-term and long-range diversified fundraising action plans for RGA to achieve upwards of six figures, multi-year goals that support the organization’s values, mission, and objectives.
- Create and execute plans that will significantly increase diversified revenue from various sources, including corporate partnerships, philanthropic donations (individuals, foundations, & corporations), events, special initiatives, and licensing & merchandise.
- Evaluate the effect of internal and external forces on the organization and its fundraising plans, and adapt accordingly.
- Provide leadership, direction, and management for the RGA team of 8 professionals based in Las Vegas and Montreal by creating an environment of respect, accountability, motivation, professional growth, high productivity and rallying the team behind the vision of One Drop.
- Work with RGA team to drive transactional revenue streams through global events, special initiatives, licensing & merchandising, and corporate/brand activation partnerships.
- Support the RGA team’s work to secure philanthropic funding from a mix of both corporate and individual donors, private foundations, public annual appeal and other streams through fundraising programs tailored to the needs of the organization that will enable it to attract, retain, and engage donors.
- Provide vital input to the Executive Management Team on short and long-term strategic and operational planning.
- Create organizational policy and procedures for new RGA programs.
- Know and understand One Drop’s Board of Directors and key volunteers, secures their confidence and support, and finds ways to enlist and motivate them to participate in revenue generating and fundraising activities.
- Work with the RGA team to prepare the annual RGA plan, budget and goals.
- Monitor RGA team performance to inform the revenue forecast exercise.
- Monitor and report on RGA team performance against fundraising goals and the budget to the Executive Management Team.
- Responsible for working closely with the Finance & Administration team to reconcile internal cross-departmental gift audits and coding, allocations and grant spending, projections and net asset schedules.
- Ensures that a stewardship system is in place and implemented across the RGA team for relationship building and meaningful donor recognition.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Experience in structuring corporate partnership deals and leading the formulation and execution of a win-win partnership strategy.
- Experience managing global partnerships.
- Exposure to philanthropic fundraising from a wide variety of sources including corporations, foundations, individuals, family foundations, and events fundraising, and/or building and maintaining strategic alliances, with a proven track record of securing gifts and/or closing deals upwards of 6 figures.
- Comprehensive management skills and experience are required, including but not limited to short and long-term planning, evaluation, directing and motivating staff, and financial management.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain best fundraising and operational practices, employing clearly defined objectives and transparent methods with which to measure success.
- Excellent and persuasive communicator.
- Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and self-directed environment.
- Ability to work cohesively and effectively in a team environment.
- Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory.
- University degree in a related field, MBA an asset.
