The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Communication Intern based in Beijing, China.
UNDP works in more than 170 countries and territories, helping to achieve the eradication of poverty, and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion.
Key Job Responsibilities
The Communication Intern will perform the following functions-
- Assist in collecting /compiling stories from the project management offices, reviewing and revising stories for publication.
- Assisting in preparing publications/outreaching materials, including but not limited to press release, news articles, briefing papers, issue briefs etc.
- Assisting in the regular project reports reviewing and information collecting.
- Assisting in the translation and proofreading of reports/publications etc.
- Join ad hoc task forces that require his/her support from the team.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Graduation with formal training in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Social Science, Environmental Science or related discipline preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken communications skills
- Familiarity with development issue, in particular climate change and ozone depletion is an asset
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
