The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Research and Outreach Intern based in New York, USA.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Research and Outreach Intern will perform the following functions-
- Assists in policy and/or factual research;
- Assists in social media, traditional media and other outreach/communication campaigns;
- Assists in editing, formatting, and drafting relevant documents;
- Assists in identifying, collating and analysing potential evidence;
- Assists in event and logistics coordination, including conferences that SECU would organize itself and ones that SECU would attend/present at;
- Assists in various administrative tasks;
- Assists in the intake and processing of SECU complaints and/or Dispute Resolution requests;
- Undertakes other related functions as requested by the Legal and Policy Analyst at SECU or others at OAI/SECU;
- If multilingual, assists in translations and translation quality control of relevant documents, as well as outreach/in reach in other languages;
- Possesses a willingness to be adaptive, take on extra responsibility, be proactive and willing to help on whatever needs assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Current enrollment in a related graduate program such as communications, marketing, graphic design/visual communications, public relations, law, international development, international affairs, human/environmental rights law, international public policy or other related field;
- Enrolled in a graduate program for the duration of the internship;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (word, power point, excel) required;
- Knowledge of social media platforms required;
- Knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe suite, etc) desirable;
- Interest and/or experience in law/regulatory schemes/compliance/administrative decision-making/accountability/alternative dispute resolution/international development desirable;
- Fluency in written and spoken English required;
- Proficiency in French and/or Spanish highly desirable;
- Proficiency in other languages desirable.
