Applications are invited from qualified individuals and/or teams of researchers in the Natural Science in the College of Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Computer Science and the Basic Sciences in the College of Medicine for HU ADVANCE-IT Mini-Grants Program.
These grants are designed for faculty advancement and development to further the professional advancement and collaboration potential of STEM women, especially women of color. For example, the desire and need to provide seed money for interdisciplinary research collaborations. Another, equally important vision is to promote visibility of women in the physical sciences, engineering, and mathematics through lectureships or other creative mechanisms.
Eligibility Criteria
- At least one investigator on the mini-grant project a faculty member of the Natural Sciences and Social and Behavioral Sciences Divisions in the College of Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Computer Science and the Basic Sciences in the College of Medicine.
- Applicant must be Tenured or Tenure-Track Faculty.
- Applicant should not have received two consecutive mini-grant awards previously.
- Awardees must attend Harvard University ADVANCE-IT Events throughout time period of Award.
- Awardees must submit interim and ‘End of Award’ Reports (Report format will be provided).
- HU ADVANCE-IT’s Media Team will interview Awardees and Leaders. These interviews will be recorded (audio, video, and/or still photo) for HU ADVANCE-IT and NSF archives.
- Awardees and their Leaders are expected to evaluate the program to inform future iterations.
