The Public Affairs Section of the American Consulate General Jerusalem is inviting applicants for its small grants program designed to assist Palestinian Non Profit organizations in carrying out programs in various fields.
Priority Areas
- Increasing the capacity of Palestinian civil society organizations to work in areas of mutual interest to Palestinians the Consulate General, such as youth engagement, women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship and economic development, strengthening independent media, civic activism and volunteerism, and environment/science/technology/health;
- Supporting efforts to bring Palestinian and Israeli youth together to encourage mutual respect and understanding, and peaceful co-existence;
- Developing English language teaching and learning among Palestinians;
- Facilitating Palestinian participation in academic conferences held in the U.S. or facilitated by American institutions; and
- Promoting mutual understanding among Palestinians and Americans.
Grants Information
Grants will be awarded in amounts up to a maximum of $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants for grant funding must live outside of the United States. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate cost-sharing, public-private partnerships, cooperation among multiple partners, or innovative means to implement cost savings (e.g. implementing digital technology, etc.) in their proposals.
