The Journalismfund.eu is accepting applications for European cross-border research grant with the aim to promote quality journalism in Europe by giving journalists the chance to carry out journalistic research projects. Journalismfund.eu supports teams of journalists from several countries working out of each their country on a common story and thus compiling multiple research competences and safeguarding publication to various audiences. It also supports individual journalists working on European stories.
Journalismfund.eu is an independent non‐profit organisation established with the purpose of promoting quality cross-border and in-depth journalism in Europe.
Eligibility Criteria
- eu supports journalists from EU and EFTA countries. When relevant for the story team members outside these countries can be accepted.
- Applicants must be working as professional journalists.
- Only natural persons are eligible.
- Students are not eligible.
- Journalists who were previously allocated a Journalismfund.eu working grant can reapply, but the jury will include the result of previous working grants in their evaluation of the new application.
- The story must be relevant for audiences in Europe.
- The story should bring significant new information to the audiences.
