The Global Communities is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Chief of Party – Malawi Government Accountability and Performance (LGAP), based in Lilongwe, Malawi.
Global Communities, formerly CHF International, is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable changes that improve the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable.
Key Job Responsibilities
The COP will perform the following functions-
- Be responsible for project activities and staff, technical leadership and administrative oversight of the program.
- Manage a team of senior staff and sub-partners and ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of all products and activities generated under the project and be the principal institutional liaison to USAID.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree or higher in public finance, urban planning, economics or similar.
- Experience as a Chief of Party/Country Director or equivalent leadership position managing a USAID or U.S. Government funded program of equivalent size and scope.
- USAID contract (RFP) experience, preferred.
- Experience implementing international development programs that concern improvement of local government
- Performance, capacity building, public finance and oversight, decentralization, government accountability and citizen participation and/or similar scopes of work.
- Experience in East Africa, preferred.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, required.
