The Global Communities is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Director of Finance & Administration based in Colombia.

Key Job Responsibilities
The Director of Finance & Administration will perform the following functions-
- Provide financial management for all aspects of the program.
- Manage finance and administrative staff, ensuring that functions are performed timely and accurately.
- Develop and maintain sound financial management systems in line with USAID rules and regulations and Global Communities’ policies, procedures and accounting principles.
- Manage the project budget to ensure all costs incurred by Global Communities are accounted for and in compliance with local, USAID and Global Communities’ rules and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to HQ on budget expenditures.
- Maintain updated information regarding grants and contracts, sub awards, reporting requirements and financial restrictions.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Minimum of five years of experience managing project finances for multi-million dollar programs, preferably on a USAID-funded program.
- Eight or more years of finance department or international development experience with progressively increasing responsibility is preferred.
- Proven experience with U.S. government-funded cooperative agreements or contracts.
- Demonstrated understanding of USAID rules and regulations.
- Strong managerial skills and experience overseeing staff.
- Ability to set up financial regulation systems with partner organizations to ensure the efficient and accurate disbursement of funds.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in accounting, finance or related area.
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish, advanced English.
