The Johns Hopkins University (Jhpiego) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Program Advisor – Sauti Key Populations Research in Tanzania.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Sr. Program Advisor – Sauti Key Populations Research will perform the following functions-
- Advise/consult with local Sauti team on design and implementation of KVP mapping and enumeration research protocols, any revisions that may be required as a result of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol review.
- Assist with final budget development for data collection activities.
- Assist with development of standard operating procedures, field manuals and training materials.
- Assist local team in insuring that the protocol is implemented in a way that satisfies both Sauti and the Tanzania National AIDS Control Program (NACP) requirements.
- Participate in trainings and initial field implementation.
- Review and troubleshoot data collection procedures throughout the period of data collection.
- Assist with data analysis and extrapolation process, including how to apply correction factors to develop appropriate denominators for measuring program coverage.
- Participate in the development and finalization of the research report and recommendations.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Advanced Social Science Degree.
- 10+ years of experience conducting research with key populations (FSW, MSM) in developing country settings.
- Previous experience developing and implementing protocols for mapping and enumerating key populations (FSW, MSM).
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding about the multiple uses of size estimates for key populations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple types of partners (including donors, government, NGO and key population members).
- Proven track record on leading large-scale field operations with key populations.
