Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Project Manager, Mobile Financial Services in Burkina Faso.
The mission of AKDN is to improve the welfare and prospects of people in the developing world, particularly in Asia and Africa, without regard to faith, origin or gender.
Key Jobs Responsibility
The Project Manager, Mobile Financial Services will perform the following functions-
- Provide expertise to develop alternative channels for MFIs to deliver mobile financial services – especially the Telco agent channel as well as the Banking Correspondent channel to develop practical models and agreement frameworks to inform design and delivery of services to a large segment of the population.
- Utilize expertise and knowledge in technology integration and business process reengineering to help design operational processes that enable seamless integration between different entities (for example, a mobile money operator and PAMF) for a superior customer experience.
- Along with AKAM’s Digital Finance expert, design a pilot program for rolling out the services through alternate delivery channels.
- Implement the pilot and design the plan for nationwide roll out. Work closely with the Telco partners to identify and rectify issues at the pilot stage.
- Use a combination of human centered design (HCD) principles with business models suitable to pilot and scale next generation products for low-income mass-market segments, as well as agents and small businesses.
- Drive and effectively manage an HCD team to research poor client needs and context regarding adoption of mobile financial services, integrate those learning’s in the project plan, and develop systems and processes to on board poor clients onto a mobile financial services platform.
- Provide implementing support to train and direct the operations teams to deliver on providing mobile financial services.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Technology management and/or business process engineering expertise highly preferred.
- Master’s degree, such as MBA or MPA, preferred.
- Deep commitment to financial inclusion and poverty alleviation, and alignment with AKAM/PAMF’s mission.
- Outstanding project management skills with proven track record of achievement under a range of challenging situations (ideally in multiple countries).
- Experience in digital channel design and development for FS, including some exposure to enabling IT/MIS platforms.
- Experience working in the WA region.
- Hands on experience of working on Project management tools.
- Ability to act as a representative of the project in public forums.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
