International Finance Corporation (IFC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Associate Investment Officer in Belgrade, Serbia.
The Associate Investment Officer will support the regional team and management with the whole PPP transaction process of IFC acting as Lead Transaction Advisor.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Associate Investment Officer will perform the following functions-
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and government officials to facilitate advisory mandates, and maintain collaborative working relationship with other private business, banking and multilateral partners in the countries concerned
- Participate in project teams to accomplish work as required on several projects simultaneously
- Proactively assist in business development by originating and managing marketing activity in assigned countries/strategic areas
- Lead the preparation of proposals for new mandates
- Support the internal approval process including drafting of internal approval documents for new mandates
- Provide leadership in the selection of consultants, including drafting consultant terms of reference and requests for proposals
- Participate in and lead the due diligence and preparation phases of the mandate which would include technical, legal regulatory and commercial assessment of the transaction
- Participate and lead the structuring and negotiating of deals which would include identifying and advising Government clients on a set of recommendations
- Oversee and provide guidance in the drafting and preparation of contractual and bidding documents such as concession agreements, shareholders agreements, etc.
- Oversee and provide guidance to junior staff in the production of financial models and other project components
- Assist in the marketing of the transaction including the preparation of necessary marketing materials like Information Memorandum
- Oversee the implementation of the bid process for selecting private partners
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- MBA or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in PPP transaction advisory on buy and/or sell side, investment banking, project finance or corporate finance with a leading institution.
- Strong experience in power and transport sectors. Strong grasp of legal documentation including risk allocation related to PPP projects including concessions as well as for privatizations.
- Proven track-record of advising, structuring and executing on infrastructure transactions.
- Strong financial, credit and structuring skills; demonstrated ability and experience in complex advisory transactions.
- Ability to interact directly and independently with senior government officials, financial and technical partners as well as senior private sector investors in the infrastructure space.
- Sound business judgment in identifying potential business partners, strong business development and client relationship skills.
- Knowledge of overall industry sector trends and experience in infrastructure transactions, trends and sector developments in ECA in general and Southeast Europe in particular.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated track record of working with as well as leading, motivating and managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality work within deadlines to meet team objectives.
- Willingness and ability to travel on short notice and frequently, as required.
- Excellent communication skills in English and another Southeast European language.
