Center for Reproductive Rights (the Center) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance Analyst in New York, United States.
The Finance Analyst will provide critical support to the Senior Director, Finance & Planning.
The Center has used the law to advance reproductive freedom as a fundamental human right that all governments are legally obligated to protect, respect, and fulfill.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance Analyst will perform the following functions-
- Develop proposal budgets and prepare all necessary financial documents for grant submissions.
- Prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Track and monitor grants and donations, and their corresponding funding restrictions.
- Ensure grants are processed correctly and are accurately reflected in revenue tracking systems.
- Maintain revenue to account code mapping between Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge.
- Maintain temporarily and permanently restricted net asset schedule.
- Coordinate and facilitate pre-award and post-award activities for all sponsored projects; liaise between programs, development and finance to ensure the feasibility of projects from a financial perspective.
- Working closely with Development track grant deadlines, milestones, and major changes in budgets to appropriate staff (Program, Finance, etc.).
- Provide training, tools, and resources to support staff to comply with donor rules, restrictions and specifications, as well as the Center’s internal grant policies and procedures.
- Design tools to aid program staff in managing their budgets, processing payments, tracking the corresponding expenses, and ensuring compliance with any specific grants.
- Participate in the assessment of new funding opportunities; serve as an institutional resource on donor financial compliance.
- Prepare grant audit schedules and analyses.
- Support the annual budgeting and reforecast processes; and.
- Special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Strong commitment to the Center’s mission, purpose, and values.
- 2-3 years of financial or accounting experience with a focus on grants management and reporting.
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and practices, as well as strong analytical skills and attention to detail a must.
- High proficiency in Excel; experience with Black baud Financial Edge a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects successfully, while maintaining collaborative relationships with subordinate, program leaders and peers.
- Experience with an international NGO is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
