European Central Bank (ECB) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Research Analyst in the European Union Countries. The duration for the post is of 3 years.
The Research Analyst will provide data and research support (including code programming) to the Division’s staff.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Research Analyst will perform the following functions-
- Developing and maintaining economic and financial databases in line with the Division’s needs.
- Contributing to the production of regular reports and briefings.
- Contributing to and supporting the analytical work of the Division, including impact assessments of regulations and research projects.
- Contributing to presentations given by the Division’s staff, management and senior management, including the production of tables and charts.
- Keeping abreast of data sources, applications and publications useful to the Division.
- Cooperating closely with experts in the Division and establishing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues in other divisions and business areas.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- A master’s degree in one of the above disciplines would be considered an asset.
- Experience of managing and processing complex datasets.
- Familiarity with a broad range of the standard databases providing macroeconomic and financial data (e.g. DataStream, Bloomberg, Bank scope, Havre Analytics, Dialogic, SNL Financial, etc.).
- Experience of using statistical packages and programming languages (e.g. MATLAB, STATA, R, EViews, etc.) combined with knowledge of statistical concepts.
- Working knowledge of accounting and/or the insurance market would be considered an asset.
- Sound IT skills, with an excellent knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- An advanced command of English.
- An intermediate command of at least one other official language of the EU.
