Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) is currently seeking applications for the eligible applicants for the post of Associate, Advisory Services in Tokyo, Japan.
The Associate is responsible for conducting research and analysis, writing, logistics planning and other support on BSR products and services for the benefit of BSR members, funders or other clients.
The mission of BSR is to work with business to create a just and sustainable world.
Key Jobs Responsibility
The Associate, Advisory Services will perform the following functions-
- Support project managers in implementing advisory services projects with members and other companies, particularly through research, writing and technical assistance on a range of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issue areas.
- Support advisory services Managers and Directors in the development of work plans, schedules and budgets for the delivery of advisory service projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with BSR member companies and potential member companies, NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate for membership services to BSR member companies including events and membership engagement options.
- Provide assistance on special projects and assignments as requested to help BSR accomplish its mission and goals.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience, including knowledge of a CSR content area.
- Exceptional research and writing skills both in Japanese and English, and ability to do some preliminary analysis on CSR research.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to meet stringent deadlines, communicate progress on projects or event planning, and work with managers/directors to coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, for working with both internal and external clients.
- High degree of self-control and self-motivation towards excellent deliverables and strong interests on CSR issues and role of business for just and sustainable world.
- High degree of fluency in Japanese and English.
- Capacity to work and thrive in a growing, fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization with a collaborative environment.
- High ethical standards and commitment to BSR core values of Leadership, Respect and Integrity.
