Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) is currently seeking applications for the eligible applicants for the post of Associate Director, Consumer Sectors in Paris or Copenhagen, France.
The Associate Director will play a key role in driving the growth of both Consumer Sectors and Supply Chain Sustainability practices, and should have strong experience in supply chain and either the food, beverage, and agriculture (FBA) sector, or the apparel, footwear, consumer packaged goods, hospitality and retail sectors.

Key Jobs Responsibility
The Associate Director, Consumer Sectors will perform the following functions-
- Delivering consulting services to member and non-member companies in the CS sector.
- Consulting and Member Services: Areas of project focus may include: supply chain sustainability, strategy development, sustainability reporting, and business integration.
- Provide services to companies outside of the CS sector or EMEA region according to business needs.
- In addition, manage several key member relationships and provide member support to drive recruitment and retention for the sector.
- Pursuing and delivering grant-funded opportunities for Consumer Sectors as they relate to BSR’s strategic areas of focus around climate-inclusive economies and sustainable supply chains.
- Responsibility for deepening relationships with senior executives and business leaders within BSR’s CS member base and developing new business opportunities across BSR’s CS portfolio.
- Represent both BSR and the CS practice to external audiences, especially in EMEA, by: presenting at industry conferences; writing publications; forming beneficial external partnerships; and creating other opportunities to raise the profile of BSR more broadly.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Master’s degree in business, law, public policy or other relevant discipline required.
- Significant business experience (at least 8-10 years) required, to perform the key functions of a consulting leader, including: developing and maintaining senior-level relationships; pursuing and creating business opportunities; driving member service and overseeing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Significant experience working with, or in, a consumer facing sector.
- Significant experience in sustainable supply chain strategy and/or operations.
- Experience in developing sustainability-related methodologies, such as: strategy design & implementation, stakeholder engagement or supply chain sustainability.
- Knowledge and experience related to business processes such as strategic planning, organizational development, training programs, performance management, change management, etc.
- Proven leadership and people skills, including a demonstrated ability to mentor the skills and effectiveness of other team members.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and facilitation skills.
- Willingness to undertake business travel (~ 25% time).
- Language skills: Fluent in English, with an additional language from a region in which BSR is based a strongly preferred. Fluency in French desired.
