Seed funding is where a donor offers grants to NGOs to either embark upon implementing new ideas or scale up small successes for large benefit. While there are few few donors interested in supporting new and fresh ideas for project deliverability, we always try to identify and offer information on such opportunities especially those that help new and young organizations driving innovation.
A donor agency has now come up with a call to fund projects that are at the idea-level. Preference to apply is given to a lead organization heading a consortium to address emergency issues such as disasters and conflicts. Gender-based Violence is a critical part of this grant program and has to be integrated with it.
The seed funding can be used to travel for project-related work, build partnerships and collaborations and also initiate new ideas.
