Entries are invited from the aspiring and established writers all around the world, for the Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook Short Story Competition 2016. The entry must be a short story (for adults) with “ageing” as the theme.
Entrants will be offered a place on an Arvon writing course of their choice!
Arvon run four historic writing houses in the UK, where published writers lead week-long residential courses, Covering a diverse range of genres, from poetry and fiction to screenwriting and comedy.
Prize
The winners will receive:
- A cash prize of £500
- A place on an Arvon residential writing course of their choice
- Publication of their story on the official website.
Eligibility Criteria
- The competition is open to all ages, professions and nationalities.
- All entries must be original unpublished prose of 2,000 words or fewer.
- Writers may submit one entry only.
- Entrants must be registered on the given website.
