UN Women is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Advocacy and Outreach in Tokyo, Japan. The duration for the post is of 6 months.
UN Women is the UN organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Advocacy and Outreach will perform the following functions-
- Monitor trends and issues which impact gender equality and women’s empowerment and identifying opportunities for UN Women.
- Conduct outreach activities including formulation of information material and tools.
- Prepare and coordinate various events of the UN Women Japan Liaison Office.
- Prepare and coordinate high-level visits of UN Women officials.
- Handle inquiries from students and general public.
- Any other duties as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Studies in gender, human rights, development or other similar subject at the university level.
- Graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- A first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- Graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
- Excellent business communication skills (written and oral) in both English and Japanese are required.
- Working knowledge of another UN language a distinct advantage.
