The British Embassy Mexico City has announced Prosperity Fund to promote economic reform and development needed for growth in partner countries. The priorities will include improving the business climate, competitiveness and operation of markets, energy and financial sector reform, and increasing the ability of partner countries to tackle corruption.
The core aims of the Prosperity Fund are to support sustainable economic growth leading to a reduction in poverty in recipient countries.

- Education – projects should aim to act as seed projects for future larger programmatic work which in future may be managed by a different “call for bids” mechanism for the Pacific Alliance Region.

Funding
The 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review announced a £1.3bn Prosperity Fund over the next 5 years to promote the economic reform and development needed for growth in partner countries.
Eligibility criteria
The Prosperity Fund accepts project proposals from civil society, governments, think-tanks, commercial organisations and other UK government departments.
