Coffey is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Finance Officer in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The Finance Officer will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in providing administrative and financial support and carry out financial administration of the program.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Finance Officer will perform the following functions-
- Prepare cheques and Payment Vouchers, including supplier reconciliations and obtain signatures.
- Process all reimbursement to advisers and complete appropriate documentation, and send to Adelaide for payment.
- Process all Payments/Receipts/Journals for the Governance Programs Operating Account – Program Activity Costs into the QuickBooks Accounting System.
- Check that all procurement expenditure (Assets) has been entered onto the Asset Register.
- Maintain all finance files for both Operating account and Subsidiary accounts.
- Prepare the creditors reconciliation for suppliers on a monthly basis and liaise with suppliers regarding discrepancies.
- Complete monthly GST returns for the Operating Account for submission to IRC.
- Provide assistance or support to the finance team and Operations manager as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A Diploma or Certificate in finance, business, operations or similar (desired).
- Demonstrated experience in book keeping and cash book management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and office operations is essential.
- Good knowledge of petty cash accounts is essential.
- Working knowledge and experience in accounts payable and receivables in a corporate context.
- Demonstrated of High level computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills to relate, communicate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of people and cultures.
