Coffey is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Payroll Officer in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The Senior Payroll Officer will be responsible for providing payroll and financial support to the Finance Manager to carry out financial administration of the program.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Payroll Officer will perform the following functions-
- Liaise with the Project Managers and HR to ensure all Advisers, Consultants and Locally Engaged Staff payroll information has been submitted and processed on time.
- Compile time sheets in liaison with HR and ensure CHRIS 21 payroll processing is done on a fortnightly basis.
- Prepare Payroll journal fortnightly for posting by Finance Officers into QuickBooks and reconcile monthly Payroll Account.
- Prepare all other payroll-related payments (superannuation, savings contributions, loan repayments and Impress Account reimbursements) fortnightly prior to the due date.
- Prepare payments to subcontractors upon receipt of an invoice/supporting documentation and send payment to Adelaide for processing.
- Process all reimbursements to advisers and complete appropriate documentation, and send to Adelaide for processing.
- Assist the Finance Manager and Operations Manager with any other duties as requested.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A Diploma or Certificate in finance, business, operations or similar (desired).
- Practical understanding of finance and payroll administration systems and processes, preferably QuickBooks & CHRIS 21.
- Extensive practical understanding of payroll systems and processes.
- Ability to think clearly and logically and to priorities with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of and ability to ensure program compliance with DFAT policies.
- Demonstration of High level computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills to relate, communicate and negotiate effectively with a diverse range of people and cultures.
