Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Head of Secondary School in Tanzania.

Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Head of Secondary School will perform the following functions-
- Overall academic and financial performance of the school.
- Development and implementation of a strategic school improvement programme to re-establish the positive standing and positioning of the school as one of the leading schools in Dar-es-Salaam.
- Recruiting and building a high-performing team of culturally-diverse faculty.
- Monitoring and tracking of key performance indicators.
- Implementing annual performance appraisals and professional development plans.
- Appropriate systems to meet and maintain authorization requirements for the IBO, CIE and CIS.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A Master’s degree in Education from a reputable, accredited university.
- At least five years’ experience, with demonstrable achievements of leading a Grade 6-12 reputable international school.
- Experience and drive to lead an intense school improvement and change process and resilience when experiencing difficulties inherent in an emerging system.
- A proven track record in the effective and efficient management of fiscal and human resources.
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate curriculum Diploma Programme and / or the IGCSE.
- Excellent team-building skills, with proven experience in leading, motivating and empowering teams.
- Experience in Africa is desirable.
