International Medical Corps (IMC) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Health Program Manager in Turkey.
The Health Program Manager will be responsible for oversight and implementation of all health related activities as pertaining to specific IMC grants the Sanliurfa area of operation.
IMC’s mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Health Program Manager will perform the following functions-
- Ensure timely delivery of program components according to proposed activities and available funds.
- Implement quality programming related to trauma care, primary health care, reproductive health, community health outreach, vaccination, nutrition, early warning systems, outbreak response medical supply chain management, pharmaceutical supply, and appropriate drug use.
- Work with finance, logistics, HR/admin and security to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.
- Ensure application and compliance with donor and organizational policies and security protocols.
- Understand proposed programming and develop a detailed implementation and monitoring plan.
- Anticipate changing needs and emergencies and adapt the program to changing context as needed.
- Schedule site visits for monitoring and supervision to ensure quality of services, accurate data collection and verification of pharmaceuticals, supplies and equipment.
- Manage all aspects of human resources for health in the area of responsibility including recruitment, scheduling, supervision and capacity building of all staff.
- Assure health personnel understand the implementation and monitoring plan and their roles and responsibilities therein.
- Ensure national counterparts are trained and empowered to perform.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Medical doctor, nurse or relevant health background with Masters in Public Health.
- At least 5 years professional experience in implementing health related projects.
- Preferably experienced in Disease Early Warning and Response, trauma and emergency care projects.
- At least 5 years experience working with INGOs in humanitarian or development contexts; previous emergency response, conflict/post-conflict experience preferred.
- Familiarity with surgical supplies, trauma kits, basic hospital equipment and pharmaceuticals.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and to track performance against program indicators.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic preferred.
- Skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to field sites.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively with various personalities and cultures.
