International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Web Multimedia Communications Specialist in Texcoco, Mexico.
CIMMYT’s mission is to sustainably increase the productivity of maize and wheat systems to ensure global food security and reduce poverty.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Web Multimedia Communications Specialist will perform the following functions-
- Develop high impact multimedia products to be used with research leaders, fund-raisers and corporate communications to present and promote CIMMYT to research partners, donors, non-governmental organizations, media and key political contacts.
- Manage the Sustainable Intensification Program (SIP) website including but not limited to uploading new content and program updates, correcting broken links and images, etc.
- Provide multimedia content for SIP’s website and other web-based content/ portals.
- Manage all stages of video production (pre-production and post-production).
- Create clear briefs and choose the appropriate multimedia platform including image, sounds, music, graphics, and online resources.
- Develop and maintain a correct workflow on SIP website (management of digital assets, storage, distribution, Web and social media, final multimedia products, etc.).
- Handle project from creative concept and editing (including voice over), video shooting, audio recording, to editing sound and video.
- Coordinate internal and external resources (including contracted suppliers).
- Assure inventory and loan control of equipment and media available.
- Program and develop basic graphics for SIP website and other electronic content applying international web standards and protocols.
- Create the SIP newsletter including contents, graphics and research new elements every week (Thursday).
- Ensure assigned projects are functional and efficient.
- Maintain an inventory of content and manage the ad server software.
- Monitor SIP website performance based on KPIs.
- Edit video and audio for web content.
- Carry out any other activities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training in web systems design, software design development, or multimedia programming.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in design and multimedia creation.
- Advanced level of written and spoken English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive in seeking of information to keep up to date with advances in computer and communication technologies.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to remain creative, prioritize and handle multiple projects while producing high quality work under fixed deadlines.
- Negotiating skills for a good working environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively in diverse, multicultural partnerships.
