Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is currently seeking applications from the eligible applicants for the post of Senior Program Development Advisor in Seoul, South Korea.
The Senior Program Development Advisor will work on a part-time basis with the Program Development Unit, relevant Country Portfolio Directors, and the ADG of GGP&I on key program delivery and strategic preparation activities.
GGGI is dedicated to supporting the transition of GGGI Member countries towards a green growth model by developing and implementing strategies that simultaneously achieve poverty reduction, social inclusion, environmental sustainability and economic growth.
Key Jobs Responsibilities
The Senior Program Development Advisor will perform the following functions-
- Representation: Participate as GGGI Senior Representative in new and potential LDC countries in pre-delivery engagements when required.
- Strategy for GGGI’s Africa LDCs: Provide strategic advisory for a coherent and successful portfolio of work for LDCs in Africa, including a strategy on how to leverage regional sources of finance, development partner platforms and events, and regional knowledge exchange.
- Scoping Support: Work with Program Development Staff and management as needed to support the scoping activities in LDCs, including ensuring coherent and consistent communications between government stakeholders and GGGI and delivery of high-quality project documents.
- CPF Planning and Development Support: Support the Program Development Unit with the formulation and validation of Country Planning Frameworks for new LDC country programs in 2016.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have-
- A Masters or PhD level, preferably in sustainable development, economics or business/finance/management as well as at least 12 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience identifying, prioritizing, scoping, and implementing sustainable development projects in developing countries in Africa.
- Successful experience engaging multiple stakeholders in a developing country setting and building consensus around a clear course of action.
- Excellent communication, presentation and networking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex economic and development issues in a clear and simple way to a diverse audience.
- Effective and efficient operational and organizational skills – project management and project coordination experience.
- Multi-cultural literacy and easily adaptable.
- Ability to seek and consider diverse ideas and approaches and ability to work as part of a team.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English is a requirement.
- Knowledge of Nepali would be an advantage.
