Plan UK has launched a global photography project called Shoot Nations, which includes a competition, workshops and exhibitions on various continents. As this program focuses upon different global issues every year, this year the theme of the competition is CITY LIVING. The competition invites young people between 11 and 25 years from any part of the world to submit three photographs or drawings which capture each of the following ideas:
1. What does ‘city’ mean to you?
2. Growing up in the city as a boy or a girl
3. Country to city, city to country – people on the move
The photos should provide a vivid illustration of young people’s differing viewpoints on the subject from all over the world. There prizes offered for winning photographs and these will also be demonstrated in exhibitions. Entries can be uploaded through the website link given below. This competition runs from 21 May to 28 July. For more information, visit this link.
